Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming a fundamental computing paradigm, yet its increasing computational and energy demands raise critical sustainability challenges. From foundation models to edge intelligence, future AI systems must deliver higher performance while dramatically improving efficiency, scalability, and environmental impact.
The Sustainable AI Workshop brings together leading researchers and industrial experts to discuss novel hardware, software, and algorithmic innovations enabling the next generation of sustainable AI. The workshop covers the full computing stack, from semiconductor technologies and computer architectures to machine learning algorithms, edge systems, and large-scale AI infrastructures.
Call for Posters — 3rd EFCL International Workshop on Sustainable AI
We are still welcoming poster submissions for the 3rd EFCL International Workshop on Sustainable AI, taking place at ETH Zurich on October 12, 2026.
This year’s theme is “Towards Efficient, Scalable and Responsible AI Systems.”
We invite PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and researchers from academia and industry to present ongoing or recently completed work related to efficient and sustainable AI — from novel hardware and architectures to Edge AI, efficient foundation models, embodied AI, and sustainable AI infrastructures.

The 15 selected contributions will be invited to the poster session. Presenters receive free workshop registration, access to all talks, lunch and dinner, and will be eligible for the Best Poster Award.
