Flagship projects

CURRENT FLAGSHIP PROJECTS 2024/2025

Flagship projects unite students from various academic levels— Bachelor, Semester, or Master Theses—into interdisciplinary teams tackling complex, hands-on challenges. By working collaboratively, students develop critical technical and soft skills, including team coordination, software development, version control, and shared codebase management—competencies essential for engineers and researchers. These projects foster innovation and problem-solving through real-world applications, often culminating in participation in academic competitions such as the F1TENTH autonomous racing challenge or the Robodog competition. Through project-based learning, students gain valuable exposure to system integration, cutting-edge technologies, and the dynamics of professional research and development environments.

Autonomous Legged Robots

Would you like to participate in the design and development of an autonomous quadruped robot for real-life applications such as blind person assistance and other applications? Download For more details please download the flyer (PDF, 1.1 MB).

Nano-Drones

Flying a drone with a remote controller is cool, making a nano-drone autonomously flying everywhere is mind-blowing. Download For more information please download the flyer. (PDF, 250 KB)

ForzaETH autonomous racing

Develop and implement novel robotic algorithms in the context of autonomous racing. Download For more information please download the flyer. (PDF, 455 KB)

Robotic Sailing

Would you like to work with embedded systems under space and low-power constraints?
We are looking to improve our boat in the following areas:
▪ Telemetry link to base station
▪ Optimize Sensors and design new ones (e.g. wind speed)
▪ Path planning and Control
Download For more information please download the flyer (PDF, 362 KB).

External Flagship project for ITET students

The PBL Center is official partner or/and supporter of the followig students project. D-ITET students are welcome to join the projects, morever PBL Center can supervise Bachelors and Masters projects on those flagship projects.
